Dust meets both of them after falling into vent shaft and denonating blomps. Haley states that the blomps help protect them from monsters going up the pass and don't bother them. Haley having a crush on Dust gives him a: Blue resonance gem, information about the teleporters at the beginning of the pass and below the forge, and a quest to find a transmitter dropped at Abadis Forest. Matti doesn't like Dust and just grumbles whenever Dust speaks to him no matter what dialog is spoken. After finding the transmitter Dust is able to communicate, trade, and create items with Haley. |

Haley is the daughter of the current Archers' Pass blacksmith, who now travels the lands in search of new forging materials. She currently runs the forge at the top of Archer's Pass with her brother Matti in forging armor, pendants, rings and augments from blueprints, as well as selling crafting materials.
After Dust enters the forge for the first time via the attic, she gives him a blue resonance gem for faster and easier access in the future. She also tells him the location of a transmitter that would allow him to remotely access her services via the inventory menu.
