I've also noticed the insipidness of the wiki, an decided to actually do something.

I believe I've made a bacdrop worth enough to go on this wikia, and even tested it on a fake for reassurence. Here is what it looks like. I have it saved to my computer, and will send it to an administrator if they should want to see it.

I've also devised a few colors for the buttons, links, and header options.

The hex codes are as follows from left to right: 378e85, 378e85, and 98e1da.

I tried to work on a banner, but the size limit put a damper on that.                                     A project for another day I suppose.

The logo was a filler until i could get something more useful, but its hard to think of, and if you wish to show an example (with crappy edits i dont mind) But i do wish for the colors to be dark and cool, not bright white.

Assuming what you dislike is the default color on the lettering (white), the only other color avaliable is black. The actual backround is fully customizable.

I'm not entirely positive what you're asking me to do. I'll poke around a bit to see if I may find some more appealing colors, but if you can give me a better idea of what you're looking for; I can try and make that happen.

If you look at the 'Customize' section in the Theme Designer, you should see four spots for buttons, links, header, and main.

"Buttons" change the color of most click buttons (i.e. 'start a wiki', 'edit this page' etc.)

"Links" change the color for anything that links to something else such as this.

"Header" changes the colors for the area where you log in, and the other below where the admin tools and such are.

"Main" changes the default backround (i.e. the 'main' on this wikia is set to grey)

The hex codes are entered into the areas to change the colors.

I'm still mixing the colors around a bit. The header I made transparent, and the buttons are now grey.

In short yes. Mostly the overall look, but yes the colors. If you check the wiki I linked before , I changed it up a bit. 

(Sorry for not being so active, I've kinda got stuff going on). 

It looks better, but i think it blends too much with eacother, it doesnt need to be dark but it all blends too well
